When you live in certain areas of the world, you have to accept that the weather does some wierd and wonderful – and sometimes crazy – things to you.
It means you might need to be prepared for floods. Or Typhoons.
And that is the case in the Philippines.
This week is scheduled for another typhoon – a ‘supertyphoon’. That means its going to be a biggy!
This tells you more on this storm.
So if your outsource worker is in the Philippines give them a break this week.
Similarly, wherever your outsource workers and team are, be aware of their weather. Maybe they dont live in the nice cozy area you live in, and maybe they just put up with the high-stress weather they get.
Do you get annoyed when your team cant work because their house is being blown apart?
My view is play nice, and give them a break if they need to shore up their house before a monster storm.
And give them time off if they need to fix their house afterwards.
I can tell you this from experience: You will have more loyal, dedicated, focussed people working for you if you do.
What’s your view?
