A Horrid Example of Outsourcing

A Horrid Example of Outsourcing

This is horrid. But it is an example of why it is so vital you systemise, automate and outsource by building a strong team of people around you.

Right now I am writing this sitting in a hospital chair while my 4 year old son Benjy (Benjamin) finally sleeps in his bed. We’ve been in hospital since midnight last night (almost 24 hours now) having come in by ambulance.

In better times

Benjy on a better day

He had progressive problems yesterday, vomiting and writhing due to so much stomach pain. Which is horrid to watch at any time; worse still when you are an anxious parent desperately worried what the outcome will be.

The doctors were concerned it was either a massive chest infection or possible Diabetes. Now, to add to the mix, it is also a ruptured Appendix.

This means he must go for an open Appendectomy because he is too young for keyhole surgery (as everything is smaller).

This means general anaesthetic and a big cut in his stomach.

I’m hating it. Knowing my boy is going to be ‘put under’ and his tummy opened up.

But there is one upside, if that’s the right word to use in such a crappy situation.

My 3 businesses are running smoothly, being run by my team of trained people in the Philippines.

From the hospital, in amongst the regular doctor and nurse visits, medicine and saline drips, I have Skype messaged each of my team to update them of the situation and their instructions for their work to do, and any directions.

I’ve checked emails and forwarded anything relevant to the right person in our team.

The joy of an iPhone! I can do all this while Benjy sleeps.

My point is this:

It is only because I have automated, systemised and outsourced my business (exactly as outlined in the “Outsourcing Exposed” book as on Amazon), with a skilled team to run sections of the business.

And while I would certainly not wish this horrid, scary situation of an ill child in hospital on anyone, I offer this here to you in the hope that you will take the next steps to automating and outsourcing your business, to get more done, in less time, for minimal investment.

Start building your team today to have skilled people run the tasks that you need done, to grow your business and increase your profit.

Good luck
